There are many factors that go into the price of a remodeling project, so it is hard to give an exact price without looking at the project. Base price for a standard-sized, simple kitchen remodel (replace cabinets, countertop upgrade, electrical upgrade, new lower-mid range appliances, etc.) is about $55K plus.

Base price for a mid-sized, simple (new tub, fixtures, vanity, vanity top, ceramic floor, etc.) bathroom remodel is about $30K plus.

For rough budgeting purposes you can start with these numbers. I encourage homeowners to plan on spending 5 to 10 percent more than the detailed estimate. So when budgeting, have the estimate be at 90 percent of what you plan on spending.
